My father in law committed suicide on Easter Sunday morning in 1969.He had been in a car accident and his wife was in the hospital. She couldn't go to his funeral and never got through the pain of it. I have had friends and a friend of my son commit suicide. Assisted suicide may be different. I hope I never need to use it.
