One of the things I like about CompuSmart is the product labels attached to virtually everything. They do not torture us with those price stickers on the shelves (often wrong, not there, difficult to find, etc). The product label (about the size of a standard Avery address label) lists: The Product Name and Description (for a computer, it may list every detail of the configuration) CompuSmart's internal numbers The Price The GST applied to the price The PST applied to the price The Total Price including all (itemized) taxes If you can physically find a box with what you want, you can find out all of the above. I have a longstanding personal policy; I call it "no price no purchase". If I cannot find the price of an object, on the shelf, without begging for help, I walk. I will do this even for items I have specifically entered the store to buy. If I am purchasing a number of items, I buy the things I can clearly find a price for. When the number of (another favorite personal phrase) "mystery priced" objects mount, there is a point where I just drop everything in my basket and go somewhere else. I will and do drive across town if that's where the next suitable retailer is. -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
