Torfree.net charges $37.50/month for basic residential DSL. With my provider, inter.net, it's only $34.95/month (after you buy the modem, just as with torfree.net), and I've been happy with the service. I know the service is available in Toronto and Montreal, but I think they're rolling it out everywhere, eventually. And no, I don't work for them. As for the main question, I don't have OSX yet, so I can't say.
