My daughter is on Telus.net ADSL. She had a 8600/300 OS 9.1 running on it fine after configuring and giving Telus the computer's MAC address, which she found using their setup manual. She bought a G3 B&W running OS X (Jaguar) and Telus' manual does not give instructions for finding the MAC address under OS X. She came up with a number somehow going through utilities and Telus says it's registered but she can't get on the system. Any suggestions? She's connected to Telus using her HP Windoze machine to communicate etc. and there is no problem with it.
What kind of modem/router are you using to connect to Telus? Some of them you can set up to authenticate automatically and assign IPs based on DHCP to anything that's connected, so if you gave Telus *that* MAC address and set it up that way, then networked them, you could theoretically add anything to the network and it'd just read the MAC address on the router...
