No proprietary software is *required* to setup a JetDirect, just knowing how to reset the defaults then it can be configured with nothing more than a telnet client. However, for Windows there is the Network Printer Install Wizard to automatically set your network printer settings and Web JetAdmin for configuring the JetDirect. It can even provide much of the same internet printing abilities that newer JetDirects with a built in web server have, for the older ones like the EX Plus series. 'Course to do that you need to use a PC with internet access on your LAN as the internet printing gateway. For the Mac side, if the printer and JetDirect are setup properly and the Mac drivers for the printer are installed, the printer should show up in the Chooser or whatever OSX has instead of the Chooser. ===== Say hello to Juror #49.
