Nah, no waste!

Yeah, the information on that link is incorrect. Both the Marknet Pro 1 & 3
support AppleTalk.

I have the Marknet set up with a static IP address and an AppleTalk address.
I use the MarkVision software on the PC (Win XP) to connect to the printer,
and AppleTalk on the Mac (OS 9.2.2).

I've never worked with AppleTalk before, so that's where the "relatively"
easy part came in. At first, I couldn't connect to the print server via the
Mac, but I went into the AppleTalk control panel and changed the network
portion of the AppleTalk address to match the network number that the
Marknet was configured with. I was then able to add the LaserJet printer to
my desktop using the Chooser and the LaserWriter 8 driver.

Gretchen, sorry I can't be of more assistance with the PC part of this.
I'll look at how we're connecting to the print servers at work to see if I
can come back with any helpful info. Don't give up yet!

Mike
