Hi all, following with interest the discussion of Gimp printing, and have a
general question.
I - like many people here no doubt - am using OSX and a fairly modern
printer, but having to rely on Gimp printing. Can someone explain why this
is the case. I am using a HP Laserjet 1300n printer, which is still being
manufactured. Yet I have to use gimp. The beauty of OSX for many is that it
requires little technical knowledge, however when you start having to use
Gimp, that kind of negates this advantage. Is it simply because Apple does
not support many modern printers? Should I switch to a different brand
printer? I really have never understood why m printer is not supported.
Thanks in advance. Chris
It is supported, you just need the driver -
