I'm looking to do this (OSX) on my beige G3 233 with 1GHz Sonnet and 768MB Ram. Issue has been forced on me as I'm quite happy working in 9 - it does not affect the work I do, just the fact that I can't network properly with the other machines now most at work are OSX. (Permissions, some machines cannot see mine, I can't see some of the others, can see some of the others but can't write to their drop boxes, can't do the I-chat, etc., etc.)
What is the easiest flavour of X to apply to this machine? I'm not interested in latest and greatest - just one that works with minimum of hassle. Shaye used to sell out of date generic system disks but haven't seen them about for a while. Any other clearance houses about?
