As an alternative solution... If you really don't want to leave 9 behind why not run it on Mac-on-Linux (http://www.maconlinux.org/) over a GNU/Linux distro such as Debian (http://www.nl.debian.org/ports/powerpc/) or Yellow Dog Linux (www.yellowdoglinux.com). The GNU OS will do all of the networking stuff for you with OS-X, though I don't know about I-chat. However you could run OS-X in another window when necessary ;-) - Richard /who doesn't have a simple solution for anything ;-/ -- Free Software in the North-West: http://www.sc.lug.org.uk/ Cheshire Free Software Group http://liverpool.lug.org.uk/ Merseyside Free Software Group http://www.lug.org.uk/lugs/nw.php NW GNU/Linux User Groups -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
