Avoid BT like the plague...They've dropped Mac support completely
Oh not again! How many times have we gone over this on-list?!
I'll write it nice and big so everyone can see...
BT BROADBAND IS LIKE ANY OTHER BROADBAND, THE TECHNOLOGY REMAINS THE SAME THROUGHOUT, IT JUST MEANS THEY'RE NOT PREPAIRED TO HOLD YOU HAND AND TELL YOU WHAT TO CLICK ON YOUR SCREEN. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS GET A ROUTER OR USB MODEM WHICH DOES SUPPORT MACS AND SINCE THE ORIGINAL PLAN WAS A ROUTER WITH AIRPORT ANYWAY I DON'T SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! THATS THE POINT IN ROUTERS, THEY'RE COMPLETELY PLATFORM INDEPENDENT.
I have BT Broadband on Macs/Linux/Windows, and a friend has BT Broadband on Macs/Windows. What's more when I first got it I got a USB modem with it, The Alcatel Speed Touch USB. AND IT WORKED IN OS X! I don't care how many sites say it won't work! SOME USB MODEMS DO WORK. Me and my friend both have D-LINK DSL-540T routers.
...a great way to get flooded with spam...

They're also more expensive than a lot of the others now.
Possibly, I don't know, I have never had a problem with my BTBroadband connection so am quite content to stay where I am.
I'm using Pipex who are pretty good, but there are also some Mac specific broadband resellers like MacUnlimited.net
