i've just downloaded this app. looks like it will be a good replacement
for lacie's silverkeeper which i have been using for a while.
I have yet to hear of DiskWarrior doing harm - I have often heard and
experienced it as very helpful so I think it is worth the money.
got this. will see what magic it can work on the ibook drive.
so now to do the ibook drive fix.
my ingredients are:
1 x working powerbook (with disk warrior installed on it)
1 x ibook - that won't boot on its hdd
1 x lacie external firewire drive
i need to back up the contents of the ibook hdd before doing anything
to it so i am going to connect the ibook to the powerbook as a firewire
slave and then drag the use superduper to backup ibook drive onto
external firewire hdd)
then i guess i diskwarrior the ibook drive to see it it can be
repaired. providing that diskwarrior fixes things, then i guess i am ok
and job done.
if not i guess i reformat and then reinstall osx10.3.9 onto the ibook.
then i'll need to copy back the data.
does this seem the right process?
