Hello Jason, i'm glad you finally could get rid of it !
It would seem that your system still had some files cached somewhere, but maybe these files were from a commercial tuxera version, since NTFS-3G was the original open-source project and was never offered as a trial or limited version. Right now, I guess Paragon NTFS would be my primary choice for installing a read-write NTFS Driver for Lion.
