Hi Troy,

I own a hand me down Canon Canoscan N670U (wish I had an Epson!) and can
tell you that the ScanGear software works very well.  It also installs a
plug-in for use with Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements to enable you to
scan from within these programs.  Most scanners can even be driven from
within Image Capture.

I'm not familiar with PhotoStudio and don't want to be.  It apparently is
part of the free software bundle that came with your scanner.  But I can
tell you that once you get this scanner working, you'll be extremely happy
with it.
