I've got a Umax c600 (Performa 6400 clone) with a decent G3 400 MHz upgrade card and I'm intrigued with setting it up as a NAT/firewall. I presently have a Slackware x86 box doing the job but if I could put an older Mac to work doing the job I'd smile. For those with AppleShare experience, is this a workable solution or was AppleShare simply a suite of IP servers without firewall or NAT capabilities?
On a related note, can legal used copies of OS X Server be found? I'd like to find such--assuming they truly are legal and can be transferred.
