I asked the installer he said yes, to Windoz but did not know anything about a Mac. I really dislike pissy people who take your money and then act as if you are so lucky to have them and their doing you a favor.
Which also means set up should be fun.
I have 3 other accounts 1 dial up and 1 DSL
The sat goes to a 481 combo modem and network, with one port out via ethernet.
If I set up the account with direct hookup to the Pismo and later want to set up airport, this should be easy, I did read a little blurb about networking and how it could hurt the 481 modem in which case I would be imprisoned.
Any way a Airport connection should not hurt this modem and I do not plan to use multiple computers at one time. Although I do have 2 pismos and may use a different pismo from time to time.
There is no software to install on the Mac to make this connection
Digging deeper they can set cookies to enhance my viewing pleasure. Oh Ya
So the verdict, do I need extra protection and if so, who is good
Thanks for the ideas and help
Geoff
