When I get this Pismo into orbit, will I need firewall or is the security measures of 10.3.3 be enough. I intended to do online banking over the land line ISP I have. I also have stock but not really day trading again land line but the info is stored in the pismo.

So the verdict, do I need extra protection and if so, who is good

You need a firewall to stop the barbarians from sneaking in thru the front door, roof, and windows. The built-in firewall in 10.3.3 is decent, albeit minimal. If you want something stronger, take a look at IPNetSentryX, from Sustworks. Some folx like the Norton products too.

You need an anti-virus to stop the crawlies from coming in with your groceries (email, downloads, etc). There's only cockroach around for OS X currently. But that's today. Tommorow is coming. .Mac includes Virex, I think. Other options are Norton and Sophos, etc...

As for your personal financial info... Perhaps it might be appropriate to keep those files encrypted when you're not working on 'em?
