I am constantly looking up definitions of words on my iPhone 5 using SIRI -
especially when doing some writing. There's nothing worse than using a word
incorrectly when you're trying to sound like you know what you're talking
about:-)
I ask SIRI, "what is the definition of the word xxx".
it brings up the definitions from some dictionary, I'm not sure which one, and
she reads out the first definition from the list. I think she searches Wolfran
Alpha for the data. Incidentally, I use this for spelling too. If I don't know
how to spell a word, there's a good chance SIRI does. I do the same as above,
looking for the definition, and then I read the word character by character for
the correct spelling.
If SIRI can't find the word in the dictionary, she brings up a web search. with
wicapedia and other sources listed out.
It's one of the most useful features of the iPhone in my opinion.
