Howard and others,
My wife wants an iPod Touch as a stop-gap before switching to an
iPhone, which switch will be dependent on whether Apple opens the iPhone to
other providers at the end of their current AT&T contract. Would anyone who
has a Touch with the 3.1 OS share their experiences operating it,
particularly with respec tto typing and wi-fi?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin. While I've been a member of this group for only a matter of weeks,
and switched over to the Mac just nine months ago, I'd like to make a point:
I didn't make the switch casually, or easily, or without a whole lot of
thought. And after I made the move, I continued to use my Windows computer
-- running JAWS -- for some time. But I'm here to tell you that I never turn
that old thing on these days. Sure, I'll admit to having the zeal of the
recently converted, but it's not without good reason. I'm betting that
you'll be very happy with what you find. I'm writing this on my MacBook Air,
and I've got a Mac Mini in the other room operating as a music server. (I
also just got an iPod Touch, but that's another story.) Welcome! I've been
finding this to be a great group, helpful, knowledgeable, sometimes even
pretty funny. Enjoy your lurking. Howard
