Hi Ted, Both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 work well.
Running Windows 7 myself but did utilise Windows 8.1 on my old clasic MacBook Pro for about 16 months. ( I believe the new MacBook Pros and the MacBook only support Windows 8 or 8.1 happy to be corrected on this point however). Of course another option is to wait until Microsoft takes the wrappings off Windows 10. The official date of release is July 29. What ever option you choose it’ll be a great experience!
