To some extent it doesn't matter a whole lot. Even though my main stereo
has nice JBL monitor speakers, most of the time I'm not on the center of
the couch right between them getting the full stereo illusion of space.
More often I'm elsewhere in the room or in another room where they end
up sounding not a whole lot different than the iHome I have upstairs.
Like information snacking, most people don't want the full article and
most people don't just sit there and listen intently to music. More
often it's just background ambiance to the real thing you're doing at
the time. For those types of applications bluetooth and small cheap
speakers work just fine.

The fact is most consumers know what bluetooth does roughly and they know they
might use it but they have no idea the differences in the protocols. There are
exceptions of course but the vast majority walk in to best buy and buy the
cheapest model or the one they claim to be the best model but it’s all based on
product placement and advertising, not real facts.
There are consumers who will drill down and learn more they just aren’t the
majority.
