Had not thought to look at the Share feature. So if I share the
document and edit it, the copy on iCloud Drive is untouched? Can you
then save it back to iCloud Drive? Thanks, as always.

share the document to Pages, it would make an editable copy of the

When you are reading the document within the Files app, you should have
a Share button down near the bottom of the screen. Double-tap that and
send it to the app you wish to edit it in.

I've been placing certain documents on iCloud Drive for easy access
from any device such as a list of shortcuts for Mac or iOS. Reading them
is fine. But if I need to do any editing, that is where I am lost. If I
