Donna,
Ok I will have another go at this. Syncing is on but will verify
that again. I find the Files app a bit overdone (too many things on the
screen) but I will work with it. Thanks.

Hi ET,
When you open text editor, it defaults to showing a list of recently opened
files. But at the bottom of the screen, there are two buttons, recents, which
is selected, and Browse. If you tap browse, you can browse and open files in
iCloud drive.
In Voice Dream Writer, the easiest way is by opening the File Manager. All your
recently opened files will show up there. (Note that you will want to enable
iCloud syncing.) Alternatively, you can select Add Document, which is at the
top left of the screen, right next to the File Manager button.. Then select
Import from External Location. Then you'll have a choice between Recents, and
Browse. If you Select Browse, and iCloud is enabled, that will be one of your
options.

Donna

Hi Donna,
We had discussed this regarding rtf editors and iCloud Drive. I am finally
getting around to working on this.
On the iPad I can find any file using the Files app. But how then would I
edit a file using say, TextEditor or Voice Dream Writer? On the other hand, if
I open either app, I cannot find the file in its folder on iCloud Drive.
I've been placing certain documents on iCloud Drive for easy access from any
device such as a list of shortcuts for Mac or iOS. Reading them is fine. But if
I need to do any editing, that is where I am lost. If I can figure out iCloud
Drive, I am home free. Thanks.
