Well, I've been a happy Nest user for several years. The app works well. You 
can adjust the temperature easily and eventually, it will remember your 
preferred settings. The only issue is the scheduling option as that based on a 
grid. Honestly, not being able to schedule my temperature preferences was not a 
show stopper for me. Overall, I'm a very satisfied Nest user.
