Brennen,

Voiceover on the Mac is not nearly as full-featured as on the iPhone. I’ve
found this over the years using both platforms. I usually go to my iPHone when
doing web searching or using the installed apps, preferring it to the Mac.

My main use of the Mac is for email and document composition. Otherwise, I’d
have no need for a Mac. This is what I’ve learned having a Mac for 7 years,
being a 30+ year Windows user before then. I will admit that one main reason
for going to a Mac was to get better integration in the Apple ecosystem with
music, books, messages, notes, mail, calendar, contacts, and iCloud storage.
Can’t beat that.

It’s a big jump and not as simple as using your iPhone. Again recommend you
start reading/listening to tutorials for Voiceover on the Mac before making the
purchase decision.

Your Windows PC is a good machine, and likely serves you well with email and
documents.

I guess it’s not so much that there’s one particular thing that I can’t do over
another that one system would help over another with. It’s more so that some
things are more accessible on one platform than another platform so I feel like
for testing purposes it would be better to have one of each kind of operating
system and I have the money that I can afford a new Mac right now so I’m just
wanting to play around with it an experiment also I have a lot of Apple
products right now. I have an Apple TV a HomePod mini an iPhone and an Apple
Watch.
