please bear in mind that protools as a system is a bit pricy but worth it. providing you have suitable compatible hardware, you can purchase protools 10 for a reasonable price but please be aware that you need a USB iLOK key from avid. available through your participating digidesign / avid dealer.
I don't have experience with the new pro tools systems so can't comment here. I only have experience with protools on OS9.2 so from there, things have changed a heck of a lot. maybe one day, a win on the national lottery would see me building a new studio and geting back to my music life. until then, I'm a retired musician who's lost the heart to write. instead I'm just a systems technician and founder of a small charity. good luck in your search and please do report back to us. for reference sake, here are products in the PRO AUDIO environment to avoid from an accessibility point of view... Logic express / pro / studio 8 and 9 upwards, Steinberg Cubase / sequel / nuendo MOTU digital performer, BIAS PEAK, the above applications do not support voiceover and never will. I know from involvement with the above companies. lew On 2 Jan 2012, at 22:17, Emrah wrote: > Thanks a bunch for your clarifications. > > Will try to get hold of a copy of Pro Tools 10 and revert back with some > feedback of my experience. > > All the best, > Emrah > -- > Emrah > > “In theory, theory and practice are the same.
