Hello Kawal, I cannot speak as to the future plans of Apple. I can only address what is currently stated by them said statement indicating that iDisk will be deactivated on June 30, 2012.
One can certainly sync iWork and/or iWork compatible documents to iCloud but iCloud functionality differs greatly from an OS independent remote storage medium.
