Also the alternative is one of gender changers (example here http://usbfirewire.com/uconverters.html) The female to female can be used with two cables. There is also A Female to B Male which could be used with one cable (i.e you can attach digital camera with its own cable and this adapter only). Also this one can be modified to shortcut that fifth pin. But maybe this one can be too heavy and put more pressure on n800 usb connector.
