Both problems are related to the fact that the Diablo release date was
not public, and the platform packages were not there before the release
(well, they somehow where, but you know) :)

This will be solved in Fremantle and following releases, where the final
release date will be perhaps just as confidential as before (no idea at
this point) but in any case alpha, beta and probably even final SDK
versions will be out time in advance, with the corresponding packages
published as well.

In Diablo the beta SDK wasn't initially considered because in principle
it was just a maintenance release with no impact in the libraries. Then
the plan changed when few libraries had changes indeed and you guys
decided to go for a clean Diablo extras repository. At the end this has
turned out to be a good decision anyway, since with a clean repository
all we can start clean with the new process. Instead, kicking off
packages from Chinook-renamed-to-Diablo would have been more delicate.

So, rock on and let's have the new packages ready for Diablo!

PS: I wasn't joking when I said that the Maemo SW team will sponsor
travel and accommodation for the most active package uploaders!
