TECHNICALLY, any email (there is no technical difference if it is B2B or not) requires only a machine that has an A record and a running MTA. And I understand Grant was writing from a technical, and not administrative point of view. You can mail to username@hostname.domain, you don't need to have a MX record. MX records are just a convenience so you can mail to username@domain instead of username@hostname.domain. > In order for mail to be accepted at Google Workspace you must have either > SPF or DKIM. There have been long discussions here about that. If you’re > on IPv6 they’re a MUST (in the traditional RFC sense)) These are Google requirements, not SMTP protocol requirements. We should not confuse one with the other. -- Regards, Jaroslaw Rafa r...@rafa.eu.org -- "In a million years, when kids go to school, they're gonna know: once there was a Hushpuppy, and she lived with her daddy in the Bathtub." _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
