No, it wouldn't work like that, but you can of course save the MIDI on
your USB stick and play it on your keyboard. That way it would sound
the same, generally. If you want to put it on a CD or mp3 player
though, thats when you need to somehow get the audio of the keyboard
playing back the MIDI file into a wav or mp3 file. You can do that by
sending your keyboard's output to a computer's input and have an audio
program record it. However, you may only get mono sound that way. As
long as you use your keyboard's headphone output you should at least
get the full signal from your keyboard, and from there its hoping that
your pc's mic jack can take a stereo signal. If it only takes mono,
you will need some sort of audio interface or maybe a small USB sound
card that can take a stereo signal.

I did some checking for you. I think the ES version of that model does
have a USB slot for playing back MIDI files on a usb stick, but for as
far as I can tell it does not offer the ability to convert to Wav or
Mp3 on the unit itself. I believe the XS version of the same
instrument might, but sadly not this one.

MYSTERY SOLVED!

Nicole had it right, but so did I, well, in part.

I knew that my Casio supported the GM standard as does the Samick. Also
knew
that the programs I used were those in GM.

I used the instrument list for my synth to select the sounds. There's a
small penalty here, and it got me into trouble. The Casio has a number
of
banks and certain instruments employ the same program number in
different
banks.

I went through the track properties for each track and reset a coupleof

bans back to 0.

Now I can play this sequence and, hopefully, others that I may createon

both my Casio and the Samick.

The mix heard using my Casio and that of the Samick are not quite the
same,
but there's no cure for that.

I thank all of you for your patience while struggled to solve this one.
The
solution hit me as I wrote a message to Mr. Bowden about my dilemma.

Should I need to write you again, it won't relate to mapping.

MIDI
or something else, and MIDI is a very straightforward data protocol
that
doesn't vary that much.
