This was a problem in earlier versions of Maptitude. It was fixed
with Maptitude 4.1.
Starting with version 4.1, Maptitude uses a new line dbd format
which displays lines faster and elminates this problem. If you
open an old line dbd, you will be prompted to convert it to the
new, improved format.

I believe this was also fixed a while ago, it was definitely fixed
in Maptitude 4.2.
