Following up on Andrew's last paragraph, one tidbit that probably got lost in the rush of information as election day approached needs to be remembered --- When it became clear that if Trump lost he would try to steal the election via a coup focused on state legislatures substituting THEIR set of electors for the ones elected by the voters --- when that became clear (it didn't happen because Biden won by "too much") a number of LABOR COUNCILS and UNIONS made noise alerting their members to the need to possibly engage in a general strike. NOW --- I am not naive enough to think these folks were 100% serious --- I think they were responding to stirrings among the rank and file and outsiders as well --- but the FACT that these labor leaders saw the strike weapon as a potential response to attempts to truly institute fascism in the US is at least a HOPEFUL sign ....
