Hello Marv:
While there is truth in what you say, it is only a half -isn't it? I was
"mis-educated" (!) to search for :
i) The objective factor(s), and (ii) The subjective factors. (Which certainly
for my part, I accept the version of Lenin as seen in a party).
Surely - you would accept that both are required...?
And John R is surely right to the extent that the controls on the class include
mis-direction from trade union bureaucrats.
But you are also right in the sense that 'there is a time, for every purpose
under heaven'.
I mean Lenin pointed out the *limited* but essential role of propaganda, for
long periods.

There may be caveats at differing time, but both are needed for a move to a
socialist movement - rather than a 'spontaneous' eruption of
anger/disillusionment/weak attempts?

What was the failure of the 'Occupy" movement to  transcend a relatively short
eruption of anger even if it was coupled with some manifestations of trying to
organise - say via teach-ins/forums etc as the 'Occupation" "not-leaders"?

What am I missing?

Be Well, H
