Of course Class is the determining factor although oppression is not limited to class alone. The constituent social formations in the working class endure a double oppression which is based in gender, or nationality.
The nationals or woman of other classes are also oppressed but not to the same extent and do not assume the responsibilities of socialist revolution, in spite of their oppression. Dr abrahim From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Marv Gandall via groups.io If I were to only know only one thing about a person, their occupation - worker, professional, farmer, small business owner, etc. - would give me a better understanding of who they are than their ancestry, citizenship, religion, skin colour, or gender. Class location would tell me more about their likely interests and values and of how much or how little we may have in common.
