How about the children of the slave owners that Nat Turner’s rebellion killed? Do you condemn the rebellion for that?

Both the Paris communards and civil war era Bolsheviks weaponized hostages. To keep them in line, Trotsky  took hostage the families of ex-imperial army officers recruited to his army. The Commune executed about one hundred hostages including the archbishop of Paris.

The family of the Czar and the families of imperial army officers were not civilians working on kibbutzes. Who were the hostages executed by the Commune? Did they have anything in common with the 32 Thai workers killed and 22 taken hostage on October 7? Anything in common with the 38 children killed that day?
