I don't think it's useful to reduce a human society to "the base" that directly
determines "the superstructure." The relationship is too complex for that. So
it is possible to liquidate capitalism and the culture of the old system
reasserts itself to undermine and eventually destroy the new system regardless
of the expropriation of the capitalist class.
