These discoveries prove that Trotsky lied wholesale to the Dewey commission and changes the conventional understanding of the assassination of some Trotskyists during the Spanish civil war at the hands of the Soviet NKVD and the Spanish Communists, both because of their role in the "May Days" revolt of 1937 against the Republican government, and also because of the collaboration with fascists, by Trotskyists and by Trotsky himself, against the Soviet Union.
