I found this Der Spiegel article of interest. I think the link should work but
it is in German. Some of the strategists amongst us (looking at David W and
Michael Karadjis who  months ago pointed out that the Iranians were *not*
expending fire-power to help neighbouring states against Israel’s depredations)
might find it of use:

A short excerpt via G-translate :
"The price of an Israeli Arrow-3 interceptor missile is around three million
euros. An American SM-3, which has already been used against the Houthis and in
the Twelve-Day War, costs as much as 24 million euros, depending on the
variant. This likely puts them well above the unit price of an Iranian
ballistic missile, which is estimated to cost around one million euros per
missile, depending on the model.
Not only the Twelve-Day War, but also the American air and sea operations
against the Houthis in Yemen reduced their arsenals. During their mission in
Yemen, the Americans apparently fired around 200 SM-2 and SM-6 missiles, which,
like the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense), are among the most
advanced systems in Washington's arsenal. They can intercept even the most
modern ballistic missiles. The Pentagon procures only about 100 SM-6s annually.
The situation is even worse with THAAD. Apparently, around 20 percent of the
total missile arsenal of this relatively new system was used up during the
Twelve-Day War."

"There are apparently still reservations within the Pentagon regarding a
potential attack on Iran. The Washington Post recently reported that the
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, expressed concerns to
President Trump. Caine is apparently currently critical of a possible operation
against Iran – and likely cited the lack of anti-aircraft missiles as one of
his reasons."
