David, There is an effort in Mexico to now provide solar panels in Cuba. Why was a socialist government far behind in thought to continue the use of environmentally harmful fossil fuels - was not answered by your response.
Why only now with shortage of supplied fossil fuel oil - was this obvious danger to self sufficiency not both identified and addressed? Why was complacency and not awareness of such needed energy being both installed and provided for the clear dangers of blockading such energy needs? Whomever was suppose to be in carge The other issues of promoting nuclear reactors when human beings determined to hate and harm through sabotage and releasing dangerous effects on the population, seem also be something you seem to ignore the reality of. But I understand you have a compulsion to support that dangerous energy source - and ignore that reality. We can see Putin currently using dangerous violence against Ukraine's existing nuclear power plants. I put nothing beyond the right wing gusanos and other ilk whom have no moral compulsion to not cause such massive harm. Perhaps among the thinking reactionaries they might consider the reowning of "their private property" might be beyond their control if radioactive? I care about the Cuban People as all lands of workers trying to survive and have a better life. I realized long ago that the greedy exploiters are dependant on their "way of life" being to divide and harm workers whom far outnumber the comfortable privileged. Sadly some time since the founding of the socialist Cuba government, was lost that reality and seeking accomodation and accepting backward thinking that has led to where we now as socialists deal with all this stalinist led bungling and "accomodation with capitalism". I recognized how Gay and Lesbian People were disrespected and harmed by religious faith believers and allowed and encouraged by some who said they were socialists - when instead just another group of homophobes whom cared not about such workers to be mistreated and harmed for loving diferent. But we all face the same enemies as those of us much earlier LGBT activists long ensued in struggles and harm by the religious faith rightwing represented by Trump, Putin, wanting to return to earlier times that were acceptable to them - but now ideas have been accepted by millions to reject such backwardness and harm. So let us defend the Cuban People against Yankee Imperialism, but not to return to church rule and control mindset but a true liberation ideology based on social justice and rights and respect - with benefiting humanity and not greedsters and selfishness. So tomorrow I plan to go to my local DSA branch that mouths much and does little about opposing actual capitalism and imperialist war - probably wasting my breath but urging them to place a call for a real resistance movement to Trump and the politician servants of capitalist rule. ny actual building a antiwar coalition and not just mouthing some political left sectlet views but placing in motion - that leads to awareness among many participants for a better world than accepting and adapting to the capitalist injustices of this current world need changing and not just continuing with more capitalist managers of wrongs to have laborers suffer and be harmed for. .
