You are sending small emails ok and only large emails are a problem? I
didn't catch this earlier. Sorry about the confusion.
If this is correct the ident issue is a red herring and you are most likely
having MTU problems. (this is a classic symptom, as well as trouble
uploading ftp files). Try dropping back your MTU and MRU settings. (576 is
a good number to start with, though some folks have to drop back to 296 or
so) For testing please set MTU and MRU to the same value (some kernel
versions have a bug when they don't match). If this is the case, there are
other side effects which will need to be addressed.
at a quick glance oidentd files looks good but I don't believe the address
masq will work. (you don't have to list the address of the server) I've
got an older version so this may be corrected in the current release.
listing each machine address works here. but address/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx does
not work, nor does address/24 etc.
To test ident (I'd do this from each box) Telnet to 130.236.254.1 port 114
(windows telnet works fine as does the telnet in HyperTerminal Personal
Edition (which I prefer).
