Hi,

I will now in detail tell you what I am trying to do. I installed a backend
script for CUPS to have my Personal Laserwriter 320 recognized by CUPS
during the addition of a new printer via the web based protocol
(localhost:631). The script is to be downloaded here:
http://www.oeh.uni-linz.ac.at/~rupi/pap/

I installed the pap script in the backend directory of CUPS. After
restarting CUPS I could easily add the Laserwriter (the URI is
pap://Lasertje/). I added some lines in the papd.conf file:

Lasertje:\
        :pr=|/usr/bin/lpr -Plp:\
        :pd=/usr/share/cups/model/aplw3201.ppd

and I then restarted atalk (service atalk restart).
I could then see the printserver on one of my client Macs. I tried to spool
a job to the printer, after I added the printer with the correct PPD file.
It was sent, but nothing happened. This is my /var/log/messages:

Jul 9 22:20:52 diederen papd[5198]: child 5218 for "Lasertje" from 65520.81

Jul 9 22:22:46 diederen papd[5198]: child 5220 done
---This was went I had sent the job---

Nothing happened. I think that the problem lies in a wrong papd.conf file.
The printer was configured in CUPS with the following URI: pap://Lasertje/

Maybe someone knows how to correctly pass this info to the papd.conf file ?

Thanks
Jeroen Diederem
