My modules.conf shows that eth0 has a tulip driver and eth1 the mace, so
these two are loaded as modules. In fact, this is right, I saw the same
thing under Mandrake when I had Mandrake installed on the PM 7600. For some
strange reason, eth0 is not assigned to my onboard ethernet card. Anyway,
this is ok. I also checked the ethernet card driver, this seems to be
correct as well (http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Ethernet-HOWTO-4.html#ss4.17).
So, probably its a software problem.
