Hi All,
I am 14, a student at secondary school and have been using a
700mHz iBook in school for typing essays and using in computing classes,
but after it was nearly severely damaged, I "shat a brick and built a
mansion" so to speak and I have decided to leave the iBook at home and
buy a PowerBook 5300/1400 for school. The problem is I absolutely detest
any MacOS below X, which isn't great itself, but is sufficient. I found
out there was linux distros for PowerPC and I am going to buy a
5300/1400 if I can get a linux distro on it, could anybody tell me of
Linux distros (with nice desktops like Genome or KDE) on either of these
machines? And please ignore my age, I have done many Linux installations
on x86 systems.
