My iMac is used only by my wife and myself. I don't need security or
passwords. Is there a way to delete this feature in 10.3.4, or enter it
once and never have it come up again? It is really annoying. I have the
system disks.

and

Yes, it's called "Auto Login" and you can enable it
fairly easily.

A few thoughts-

"Auto Login" only removes the initial login, it does not have a login dialog "never have it come up again." Even with "Auto Login", you will need to use login/password info to do certain tasks like install software. Most people don't do those tasks often, and if you use "Auto Login" you will be scrambling to remember your password when you need it. If your system asks for your password everyday, you remember it.

With all the Windows security problems lately ( only a matter of time before other OS's are affected ), are you _sure_ you don't need security?

Locking and unlocking the door on my truck is annoying, but I do it for a reason.

My two cents.
