Honestly. Windows-bias. I've spent more hours in front of MS Office than I care to mention. Plus, there is a bad association between AppleWorks and Microsoft Works (a rather pathetic consumer package in my experience) in my mind. I'm not saying these are good reasons, by the way. Perhaps if I had "grown up" on AppleWorks I might take a different position. > > What specific things does OpenOffice do that other products don't? > What am I missing by not using such? OpenOffice offers me the same environment on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. It is decently full-featured, too. Additionally, it gives me a fair amount of flexibility with MS Office. What might you be missing? I really don't know as I haven't ever made a conscious head-to-head comparison of these things. -- Brandon -- MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
