And is it as slow as win xp under macos ??
I've heard that it is a few orders of magnitude slower than real hardware - as in it takes several hours to boot on a > 3 GHz Intel x86.
It's nowhere near that bad, but it's less capable than VPC. Booting my pearpc install into panther takes 2 minutes 17 seconds from selecting a boot disk image (the OSX install on the PC) until the finder is usable. It's not modern G4 booting speed, but it's not unbearable. Installing took around an hour.
I forgot to mention - that's on an Athlon 2600+ under Linux, for comparison with Darren's speeds :).
What excites me is the possibility of running OSX on a mac Quadra using PearPC for 68k linux... *grin*.
