I recently got YDL4 to install on my beige G3. Hooray!
Congratulations.
Sorry no help for the video issues.
I did some work trying to get YDL to work on a 9600/300, the ethernet
drivers gave me fits.
I just copied all the RPMs to a hard drive and used rpm -F and rpm -U
on a YDL 3 install.
I had to compile the kernel myself with a few changes to the stock
kernel config.
Sorry, I didn't document my changes, and they were mostly for my tulip
10/100 card.
I might try Fedora Core 4 next, but we recently purchased several G5's,
so I may be able to finally get away from beige Macs.
