So far, so good. When I do this, MD switches to show what's under the
Attachments tab, and the file I selected gets shown here.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with MD, since we are both using the
same version, and for me it works. Sorry, I haven't got a clue as to
what causes your problem. The confirmation I get is, that under the
attachments tab the selected file appears. Sorry, can't help you here.
I'm sure there are some bright people on this list who can...
