If you are getting that message on a group previously subscribed too,
there is something seriously wrong with Microdot. However, it would
download all 167 new items message or not, if it was subscribed to, and
would ignore the phantom message, I would think. Microdot is the only
probram I had to reinstall to get working, and then only the
executable. You might want to try that. If you desubscribed, and it
is doing that, or you are getting repeat messsages, MDII's message
counter is broken, if you have not desubscribed and are getting only
new messages, then the counter is ok, but the requester is being
invoked erroneously.
