This suggestion is actually very clever, if you think about it.
If a "playback level" byte had been defined in the UTOC, one
could adjust the overall level of the entire track by simply
changing the byte.  The audio data on the disc would be
unaffected, since the playback deck would make the adjustment.
This would fit right with the basic idea of the minidisc: easy to edit!
